Program Educational Objectives

  • I. Progress professionally as a result of his/her ability to solve technical problems and to work in multidisciplinary teams on problems whose solutions lead to significant societal benefits.
  • II. Demonstrate professional engineering competence via promotions / positions of increasing responsibility, or successfully transition from the “traditional” Production Engineering career path into business, government, or education.
  • III. Make Technical contributions to Literature by publishing papers, applying for patents, delivering effective conference presentations, and contributing to leadership articles.
  • IV. Demonstrate a commitment to the community and the profession through involvement with community / professional organizations / make contributions towards society’s greater prosperity.
  • V. Demonstrate an understanding of the need for life-long learning via progress toward, or successful completion of an advanced degree, professional development / industrial training course(s) / engineering certification.
